This policy explains how bookings, deposits, cancellations and refunds work for tours operated by Royal Standard LLC (trading as HELLOIAM.AM). It supplements our Terms & Conditions.
How booking works
Enquiry vs confirmed booking
Submitting a form on the website is an enquiry only. A booking is confirmed when we email written confirmation and receive any required deposit.
Deposit
A deposit of 30% of the tour price per person is due within 7 days of written confirmation.
Final payment
The balance is due 60 days before departure.
Confirmation
Your confirmation email will include tour name, dates, price, inclusions, payment schedule, and emergency contact. Check details immediately and tell us of any errors.
Cancellation by you
Cancellation must be sent in writing to hello@helloiam.am. The date we receive your email counts as the cancellation date.
More than 60 days before departure
Full refund of amounts paid minus a £150 administration fee per person, or transfer to another date without fee.
30–60 days before departure
50% refund of amounts paid, or credit toward a future departure within 12 months.
Less than 30 days before departure
No refund unless we can resell your place, in which case we refund amounts paid less a £150 administration fee per person.
No-show
No refund if you do not arrive or join the tour without prior written cancellation.
Non-refundable deposits
The deposit (30%) is non-refundable once paid, except where we cancel the departure or applicable law requires otherwise. Amounts paid above the deposit are refunded according to the cancellation timelines above.
Cancellation by HELLO I AM
If we cancel a departure, you may choose:
- A full refund of all amounts paid to us for that booking, or
- Transfer to another date or tour (price difference may apply).
We are not responsible for costs you incur outside our package (e.g. flights, insurance).
Refunds
How refunds are processed
Refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible, within 14 business days of approved cancellation.
Bank charges
International transfer fees charged by banks are not refundable.
Transfers and name changes
One free name change per booking up to 30 days before departure. Date changes are subject to availability and any price difference.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend insurance that covers cancellation, medical costs, and evacuation. If you cancel for a covered reason, you may recover costs through your insurer.
Force majeure
If a departure cannot run due to events outside our control, we will offer a credit, alternative date, or refund of amounts paid to us — as set out in our Terms & Conditions.
